Giovanni spent much of his life in the public eye as a bboy and recording artist. When bald spots appeared on his scalp, it shattered his identity and he knew he needed to come up with a solution. In the 90's before SMP existed and bald heads were the norm, Giovanni was inspired by monks in a Kung Fu film to shave off his long hair and rock a buzz cut. He imagined filling in the bald spots with tattoo-d follicles and after successfully implementing his idea, he began his journey as one of the early pioneers of SMP and Founder of The Scalp Shop. Giovanni later teamed up with multidisciplinary artist, Dangerkat, and the two sprinkled in elements of their music, visual, dance & design backgrounds to give The Scalp Shop it's special kind of flavor. Together, the two world renowned artists have cemented The Scalp Shop as THE destination for the most realistic SMP and an experience that's fun, inspiring and uplifting.
